Today I received a new nickname: Queen O-lizabeth The First. I found it fitting since I’m wearing an Elizabethan collar. To celebrate my new title I decided to join the family downstairs for a while. Whereupon I was reminded why I don’t do this more often: the other cat of the house, His name is Pounce de Leon and he is entirely uncouth. While I weigh in at a svelte seven pounds, Pounce tips the scales at just under sixteen! It’s mostly muscle and attitude too, though he does have a middle aged kibble-gut going on.
Needless to say I heartily dislike the boy. His tendencies are almost dog-like! He comes when he’s called, chases and retrieves, and even chases cats! Being the only other cat in the house (and being ten pounds lighter) you can imagine how much we enjoy being chased.
No sooner did I make my appearance this afternoon than I was confronted by the hound. He stuck his curious nose into everything: the treats, the food, my behind…everything! In the above photo I primly disapprove of the boy’s eager loyalty (from a safe distance). We are not amused! My disapproval continues until the treat bag was opened at which point I deigned to get a bit closer. Purely out of polite courtesy, of course!
that’s one big bother you have there. I think my bother is getting the same way
Marilyn, I couldn’t agree with you more! Big Brother is just a Big Bother!
