The Cone of Shame

A couple of weeks ago I went to the vet. At first I was very scared because they took me away from my cat parents and I was all alone with strangers. But after a while I got used to it. In fact it was so boring I fell into a very deep sleep. When I woke up I felt very funny on my stomach and I was wearing  (gasp) the cone of shame! I hate the cone of shame. It prevents me from properly examining my stomach which seems to have all kinds of metal and strings stuck to it. I can only clean the tip of my tail and the end of my back feet. And I can’t head-butt anybody or anything!

At first it was tied around my neck with a strip of gauze. But the gauze was itchy and got frayed. The first night I had the cone I cleverly removed it by pulling it over my head. Cat parents were amazed because the diameter of my head was larger than the diameter of the gauze loop. Silly parents! Don’t they know that a cat’s head go go through holes that are up to 50% smaller?

Cat-Mommy got me a very stylish black collar with rhinestones to replace the gauze. I must say I approve! It’s much more stylish and much less itchy. Cat-Daddy says I can take the cone off this Saturday. I can’t wait!
