My name is Olive and I’m a petite, mostly black american short-hair cat. I’m adorable (of course) as you can see from my photo. I recently found out I don’t have long to live…though I don’t really know what that means. My cat-Daddy says I have cancer (whatever that is) and that I probably have less than a year (whatever that is) to live. My cat-parents seem very sad about it.

I asked cat-Mommy: does this mean I won’t have soft, soft food for dinner tonight? Nope, there will be soft food for dinner. Does this mean I won’t have yummy-treats for snack tonight? Nope, yummy-treats are still on the menu. And snuggle-sleeping in the cat pile with cat-Daddy? Every night. And tonight I had wonderful Turkey! My biggest problems in life are not enough treats, not enough soft food, and quit squirming while I’m sleeping on your lap!

As you can see, I’m having trouble understanding what’s wrong. But it seems important to my cat-parents so I’ve started this blog to record my thoughts about life and hear yours. Maybe this way I can figure it out.
